CHINA CENTRAL TELEVISION SIGNS MEDIA DEAL WITH IRELAND SINO INSTITUTE
The Ireland Sino Institute(ISI) also trading as Europe Sino Institute (ESI) has signed a news service partnership agreement with CCTV+, the Beijing-headquartered international video news agency affiliated with state-owned broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV).
The agreement marks a new stage in the Institute’s media engagement work and reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen communication and understanding between Europe and China through non-profit initiatives and cross-cultural projects.
With team members based across Europe as well as in China, the Ireland Sino Institute said the partnership will create new opportunities for its correspondents to expand their work and improve the quality and reach of their reporting. The organisation added that the ability to co-produce content through the agreement is expected to enhance its media output across a range of digital platforms.
The Institute has previously worked with CGTN and China Daily and has already published more than 300 videos on Western platforms including Instagram, YouTube, X, and LinkedIn. According to the organisation, these videos are intended to present China from an honest and first-hand perspective to international audiences.
The Ireland Sino Institute said all of this work has been carried out on a non-profit basis, in line with its broader mission, alongside the Europe Sino Institute, to connect Europe and China through meaningful projects while promoting friendship, mutual understanding, and long-term cooperation.
The organisation described the agreement with CCTV+ as an important development that will support its future content production and further strengthen its role in Europe–China people-to-people engagement.
