Refund Policy
Ireland Sino Institute • Effective Date: July 26, 20261. Overview
At the Ireland Sino Institute, we strive to ensure transparency and fairness in all our financial transactions. This Refund Policy applies to all fees paid directly to us for our China Internship Programmes, educational courses, and cultural products. By making a payment to us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. China Internship Programmes
Given the complex logistical and administrative work required to secure overseas placements and process visas, our internship program fees are subject to the following conditions:
- Voluntary Withdrawal: If you voluntarily withdraw from the program after your placement has been confirmed, program fees are generally non-refundable.
- Visa Denial: If your visa application is officially denied by the Chinese authorities despite you providing accurate, complete, and timely documentation, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund of your program fee, less any unrecoverable administrative or processing costs.
- Misrepresentation: No refunds will be granted if your visa is denied, or your placement is canceled, due to the submission of false, forged, or incomplete documents, or failure to disclose a prior criminal record.
3. Educational Courses and Digital Products
For our online educational courses, training materials, and digital cultural products:
- Digital Goods: In accordance with consumer protection laws regarding digital goods, sales of downloadable materials or online courses are final. Once you have been granted access to the digital content or course platform, we cannot offer a refund.
- Pre-purchased Courses: If you purchase access to an upcoming course that has not yet commenced and you have not yet accessed any materials, you may request a full refund up to 14 days after the date of purchase.
4. Termination for Cause
As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, the Ireland Sino Institute reserves the right to terminate your participation in any program or course for violations of our policies, breach of local laws, or failure to fulfill your placement or coursework duties. In the event of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to any refund of fees paid.
5. Force Majeure
We are not liable for refunds or compensation in the event that our programs or services are delayed, altered, or canceled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of nature, global pandemics, government travel restrictions, strikes, or sudden changes in foreign immigration policies.
6. How to Request a Refund
All refund requests must be submitted in writing. Upon receiving your request, our team will review the circumstances and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund within 7–10 business days.
If your refund is approved, it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account.
